SL-3F

TOPCON has re-designed the basic optical system for its SL-3 series slit lamp, improving overall image resolution and clarity, and reducing operator fatigue during extended examinations. For the SL-3FD, TOPCON has even added a sophisticated multi-coating to optical surfaces, which totally eliminate flare or ghost images.

SUPERB OPTICS FOR TOTAL IMAGE CLARITY

The converging biomicroscope offers finely detailed stereoscopic images, with quick-change lever selection of 1X or 1.6X objective lens magnification. This results in 10X or 16X final magnification ratios with the standard 10X eyepiece; 16X or 25X magnification with the optional 16X eyepiece.

BRILLIANT HALOGEN ILLUMINATION

The SL-3F/3FD series slit lamps now feature brilliant halogen illumination, for strong, even lighting that enhances observation. The 6V, 20W halogen lamp offers a bluish light approximating natural illumination, for optimal fidelity in the observed image, and provides an increase of almost 30% in illumination intensity.

SMOOTHER, MORE DELICATE POSITIONING CONTROL

Fine control over positioning is basic to the utility of any slit lamp instrument; the more delicately the unit can be positioned, the greater the observation and diagnostic benefits. TOPCON has significantly improved the control base in the SL-3F/3FD units to make positioning adjustment more precise than ever before.

VERSATILE SLIT BEAM INCLINATION

Gonioscopy and funduscopy are made easier and more versatile than ever before thanks to the capability of the SL-3F/3FD to incline the illumination axis up to 20° from the observation axis. This oblique angle also makes it easier to obtain horizontal optical sections.

TWO FIXATION TARGETS

The SL-3F/3FD units are equipped with both an annualar fixation target, adjustable from -15 to +10 diopters, and a spot target for external fixation.

BUILT-IN FILTERS

A convenient lever mounted on the illumination column makes it simple to insert any of the four built-in filters into the optical path. The filter selections include: cobalt blue, red-free, 13% neutral density and heat-absorbing.
